Inside Architecture
Church Rotation ]

We investigated our cemetery to find out what kinds of architecture were at a cemetery.

We found that the church was built in 1856.  It was made out of stones from a Solano County quarry.  The chapel is a pioneer landmark.  In 1850 settlers would come to this spot for "gospel" meetings.  The people came with tents and even had a cow for the children to have milk.  The Rockville Cemetery has it's own webpage and they have a history of the church at Chapel History .  We also found an architect in Sacramento who made a video for us about the chapel.

To see what the church looks like, click in the link and see what it looks like from all sides.
