CSI Rockville

We investigated our cemetery to find out what cultural groups of people were buried there. We found that many people leave things by headstones in every culture. When we first started we thought people just left letters, but that is not true.  People leave many different things.  We chose to study headstones from the Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Spanish and European immigrants.

Mrs. La Mar took these pictures in Napa. The pictures show that people will leave special things, like rocks, dolls, toys and other stuff, on the graves of loved ones. She saw that many different cultures did this, not just European-American.
