Students learned about GPS units, latitude and longitude through a series of 10 lessons that involved making globes and discovering how and why we use latitude and longitude to find our location on Earth. In this set of lessons students learned how to use a GPS unit as a tool, how to read data from, and enter data into a GPS unit. Students mapped out our school and a local park before we headed to the cemetery.
