Back to the first stitchingOn to editing the pict files

Always archive the first set of images and first set of stitched images. We like to use CD Roms, it is easy and inexpensive to do so!

Once I have the image collections in specific folders and named correctly, I burn two CD's of all of the images, pict files, stitching software files, and the QTVR files.

Take your images and put them into a folder within a main folder named with the scene name and date.

  • Then divide the main folder into folders for each node, label with node name.
  • in each node folder, put all the original images (taken for the stitching), as well as the first stitched panoramas. Most of the stitching software will organize all of the elements into folders for you. You just have to direct it to do so when you first save or start a project (depends on which software you use!)

Clearly label the CDs with the date, project name, name of nodes, etc.

Use caution when naming files as it gets confusing quickly!
