It is very important to remember these details:
- Note what object you are starting the shoot with, or look at the panoramic
head and note the starting degree.
- Set the camera on MANUAL and set the correct settings for the light
(I like to set the camera on automatic and see what it recommends for
every 120 degrees (3 equal parts of the circle) and take an average
of those settings with the f-stop as close to f-11 as I can get!
- Check AGAIN to make sure the camera is absolutely LEVEL all the way
around in the full 360 degrees (spin in on the pano-head and watch the
level)
- Shoot going to the RIGHT (Clockwise)
- Know how many images must be taken to complete the full 360 degrees
as it relates to your camera lens. If you are using a panoramic head,
know what type of dent-disk is being used (12, 14, 18 etc. dents).
- Watch for moving objects. Try to get them in the middle of a frame,
not where a frame will overlap
- Take one full set of images and consider taking a second full rotation
at a different setting. (Watch for overexposing the images, this has
happened very often and we have been thankful for the second set of
shots bracketed down one stop)
- Log the details while you are at the site, do not wait until later!
