Details about the shoot! Location, location, location
Content Area Considerations!

When selecting a location, please consider the following:

  1. What is the purpose of the picture?
  2. What is distracting in the full 360 degrees?
  3. Try moving a few feet to either side, is either one a better location?
  4. Look at the near and far subjects in the picture
  5. Consider the lighting. Is there strong contrast between shade and direct sunlight? Is it dark overall? Is the sun directly shining into the camera lens? If so, consider your options! You could go ahead with the shoot, move the camera to a better location, or shoot at a different time of day.

We have used QTVR as a teaching tool in:

  • Science: geology, ecology, hydrology, and atmospherical studies. We have made object rotations to show animal skulls and adaptations.
  • History: battle sites, buildings, cemeteries, Native American sites, American History, world history, Egyptian tombs.
  • Geography: Specific locations, physical differences in a place, human differences in a place, how an environment has changed due to humans, how humans have adapted to the environment, landforms, mapping, features.
  • Language Arts: students write about the region using different types of paragraphs: (analysis, cause and effect, classification, compare and contrast, definition, description, process... etc)
