What type of houses did they live in?

They lived in conical-shaped huts made of tule thatch. The Suisuni Indians lived in huts made of willow branches. The huts where round and had a hole at the top. The hole allows the fire smoke to go out. This tule hut was made by volunteers at Rush Ranch. It is like the huts the Suisuni lived in when they lived at Rush Ranch.

Move your mouse over the picture as you hold down the left mouse button, the hut will turn!
