Before Rush Ranch

Rush Ranch before Hiram Rush

The first people of Solano County were the Patwins and the Suisuni’s. They lived in tule huts. The plants they ate were salt grass, cattail, and pickle weed. One of the first settlers of Solano County was Gabriel Moraga. He came here to lead an army in an attack. Gabriel Moraga built armies. Gabriel Moraga changed the area by making the Indians set their tule huts on fire.
